Over half of our work in the UK is related to housing disrepair. As a result of having been instructed in more than 8500 cases we have built up a unique understanding of the needs of occupants - the end-users of buildings- as well as landlords, housing providers and funders.

Understanding these needs is central to our work in construction management. Design of new build and refurbished accommodation and Prioritisation of planned and reactive maintenance are grounded in that understanding.

Patrick Reddin, Past President, and formerly Honorary Secretary of the Association of Building Engineers. His Presidential Year (2001-2002) built stronger links between the Construction Industry professional bodies and between construction professionals and managers of properties.

Work for the Association of Building Engineers in his Presidential Year took him to Malaysia, visiting Kuala Lumpur and Penang (download here) and to South America, first to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and then to La Paz, Bolivia (download here)
